Actually, that's what I meant, I did format with extended journaling. But may have to try again. I have the drive connected via my Airport Express, and there seems no way to reformat it while connected. I need to connect it directly to the Mac, but whenI do that and then return to the router the Mac adds a 1 to the name, so my capsule drive becomes capsule1.
