Hi! If you use the track pad to go through the messages [and I do not know how this works in Lion] When your finger is on the subject without moving or removing your finger hit the control key and that should take you into the message and when you are ready keeping your finger on the message hitting the control key again will take you back to the heading and you can go to the next one you wish to open! But I do not know how useful it will be in conversation mode! hth Colin
