Hi Christene,
Once you have opened the edit info dialogue, you want to get to the options 
tab.  There is a list of several tabs at the top of the window.  Once on the 
options tab there is a pop up box labelled "Media kind".  If you want your 
files to show up somewhere else, this is where you would change it.  
Unfortunately, saving it as a movie is not an option for mp3's.  I have mine 
under music and list the artist for each as Blind Mice Mart.  That way they are 
all together.  

Also, could you provide the link you are using to download stuff?  As others 
noted, the link is no longer on the home page.  Also, the links I got searching 
through google appear to bring up a blank page in safari and webkit.
