Hi Ray, 

It seems that default file permissions have changed under Lion, since I'm still 
running Snow Leopard.  You can Google "wheel wikipedia unix" to read that 
"Wheel" is a Unix designation for special permissions -- from the notion of "a 
big wheel" who had extra privileges.

I find it a little worrisome that file privileges under Lion are different from 
what I would assume for these directories.  I'll have to do some checking. Glad 
to hear that this was sorted, though.
