Hello Traci,
How fast your Nano syncs will depend upon several factors not the least of which being which iPod Nano you have. The Nano 6 generation is the fastest syncing device I've ever seen. It can sync hundreds of songs in a matter of moments. Generally speaking, based on my experience, my Nano 6-Gen syncs music almost 4 times faster than my iPhone 4 S. The Nano 5th generation is a bit of a different story. Since you already have your media on your computer, I think it is a very good idea to restore the Nano and treat it as new. Good luck. I'm finding it takes an unusual amount of time. If I'm only syncing a handful of songs or 1 or 2 albums, I kind of expected it to take a few minutes, but for some reason it takes my Nano nearly a half hour each time. I'm wondering if this is because my Nano started out as a windows formatted device. I'm tempted to restore my Nano. Will this then reformat it as a Mac device? Maybe speed up future syncings? Thanks for the help. Lol, at these speeds, there is no such thing as a quick since. I tend to wait until I have more time.
