Hello Esther, Selecting noncontiguous items has changed in Lion. It's no longer necessary to turn cursor tracking off. Pressing VO-Cmd-Space bar puts you into selection mode, and using any command other than those necessary during selection, takes you out of this mode. You need to be in list view for it to work properly.
