Hi, I just updated my iPhone 4 to IOS 5.
My wife has one, too, and just updated hers, so I was aware that the voice changed. Mine did, too, once it was updated. It's a higher-pitched voice. However, something strange happened. i was in the notifications center, and was reading the stock ticker data. As it was reading it, the voice suddenly change to a deeper, very different voice.
