The braille connect has the braille input keyboard on it. They are awesome
displays, and the thickness is probably really a bit over ½ inch at the
thickest spot.

I'm assuming we are talking about the same display. The Brailliant I have
does not have a keyboard. I cannot recall the exact model number of the unit
I have in the office, so whatever you get, if you want to have a Braille
keyboard as well, be sure to select the correct model. I won't be able to
check which model I have since I will not be back in the office until
January.

The displays are actually made by Baum, so they will be quite good.

So you charge it via USB then? As well, how good is the braille output when
typing with its keyboard?

Well it is a not very deep front to back. I'd say it is probably three
inches deep and probably a bit under an inch thick. I would guess it is
about the width of a keyboard with number pad. I don't have it here, so my
measurements may be off some.

THe left side has a USB port and the power button is on the top in the rear
left corner.

There are three keys stacked vertically on either end and those are your pan
keys and so forth. THe router keys are above the cells. The unit is made of
a metallic material-the same material cameras are made of.

Hope that gives you some idea. It is portable and does have very good
battery life. Oh and it does have bluetooth as well.

Yes it certainly does. I use a Brailliant at the office.

Hi folks. I was wondering if anyone has this braille display and if it works
with lion? I am hoping to get this unit soon for college.
