Hi Victor

You asked about reading google digests on the Mac. This isn't for the Mac but
the best way I have found to read these particular messages.

I haven't done this for a little while now as I am currently getting individual
messages but by far the best way was on an IOS device for me. If you have one
then give this a try and let me know what you think. This is what I was doing.

Firstly, if you don't already have it in the rota then add In Page links to the
selectable options. I don't think it was one of the default options selected to
be in the rota but for this task is invaluable. You can do this in settings >
general >accessibility.

Now when reading the email on your IOS device,, set the rota to the in page
links option. You will now be able to jump very quickly through the digest.

This method isn't for everyone. At the top of the email with each single finger
swipe down you will hear the topics to be covered. You will then be jumped
straight to the actual body text of each email in the digest without hearing
who it is from or the subject etc. Very efficient as far as I am concerned but
you aren't given any info about topic changes etc., other then of course from
the content of the text. This is usually enough and the ability to skip
straight past all the stuff people have in there signatures and the time the
message was sent, not to mention the repeat of all the previous messages that
sometimes show up in the digest out weighs the negatives for me.

I understand your question was about how do read the mail on the Mac and this
doesn't help with that. As far as I know you can't enable in page links for the
rota on the Mac. I couldn't find the option in settings and I got no response
to the question on this list.

You soon get very quick at doing a one then straight away two finger swipe
down.

Anyway I thought I would share this way of doing it as you mentioned the
viphone list and may well also have an iPhone or similar..

Hope this helps

Garth
