LOL! I wish I would have known that $4 ago. I bought growl and hardware growler
because at the time, I was even more of a mac
newbie than I am now, and what I was reading on this list and from the growl
website itself is that the old version wouldn't
work under lion. I wonder what the differences are, other than what I've
described for you guys. I guess I'll keep using what
I have since I paid for it, but if the old versions still work with lion, I
almost wish I could get my money back. Thanks for
letting me know the old versions are still useable, though. It's good to know.

from the extras folder under growl 1.22, but I think you can also get them from
the button I just described. I just can't
figure out how to insure that all the extras run at startup, and so far, nobody
is answering that; they're just asking me
more questions. LOL! Basicly, I guess my question at this point is how the heck
to add stuff to startup on the mac. I know
people clame to run skype or their twitter client at startup, but how is it
done. If someone can tell me that, then I think
I'll be all set with getting all the various growl tools to work on a permanent
basis. I don't know if there's a place I can
find documentation to answer my questions.

I open it manually. Still trying to figure out about the others. Is there a
startup folder I can add them to like in windows
to be sure they'll run?
