Can't answer all your questions but generally the iTunes music folder is
stored in your user folder and stuff in there is not accessible to other
users on the same machine. Stuff on iCloud should show up in all your
registered iDevices connected under the same iTunes account but you will
have to either re-download on those other devices or set a preference to
do so. iCloud stuff only includes stuff you purchased from iTunes, not
your whole iTunes library. That might not be the case if you have
purchased iTunes match, but I haven't tried that out myself. You might
try moving your iTunes library to some shared drive or folder. Maybe
/Users/Shared. Once moved you'll have to hold option while launching
iTunes and point it to the new shared iTunes library location. Worth a
try at least.

I am having trouble figuring out how to allow my son access to some of my
iTunes files from his user account which I set up on my Mac for him; I set up
his iPod Touch and connected to iTunes via his account on my Mac. But I would
like him to be able to use Spotlight to search for particular files on my user
account, then copy them into a playlist for himself. on his iTunes account. Is
this possible?
I tried figuring out how to set up a group, thinking that if he and I were in a
group in preferences, we could do all of the same things. Though I trust my
son, I do not want him to be able to act as an administrator, or access my
e-mail, or change my files. Is there a way for him to access only my iTunes
library from his account and import into his?
I've set up iCloud for him but have not explored how to use it; I haven't
bothered to work with it for my own purposes. Ideally, once I've got that
figured out, he will be able to work with his media on his PC, my computer, his
father's, sister's, or stepfather's computers at will. While we are assisting
him learning how to use his iPod Touch, however, he will use my computer. Could
someone get me started in facilitating this process, please? Thanks so much.
