I have a friend, age 75, who is totally blind and a Windows/Jaws failure. I
have recommended he switch to a Mac but want to make reasonable suggestions as
to what he should buy.

I am leaning twards a Mac Mini with a full size bluetooth keyboard with NumPad
and a wired mouse. Also, he will need a monitor for when his wife needs to help
him out.

What do the rest of you mini users have. Do you also add a USB DVD player?

Thanks for your advise. He will be happy if he could just download NLS books
from the BARD site without having to ask his wife for help.

I, myself, have an 21 Inch IMac that I have had for four years. I got my first
Mac, the Mac Plus, in 1985 when I had more usable vision and could read the
screen with an 8x magnifying lens. The good old days when we thought one
megabyte of RAM was amazing. I did say mega and not giga.
