Did you mean CD rather than DVDs? If not, iTunes Match from what I understand 
is only for music.
iTunes Match only upgrades what you have if it isn't already in 256 K AAC and 
it'll only upload anything that isn't present in the iTunes catalogue. Also, if 
you've purchased anything from the iTunes store matching won't occur because 
purchases are stored in the cloud and a one and the same as matched content.
