Hi David. This is precisely the reason I stopped using the official Twitter app. I could not reliably click on links, so am now using ?Tweetlist.

Hi folks.
I try to post this here since I didn't find that much about it in the
archive.
When using the latest version of the official twitter app, I can only
access some of the URL posted in a tweet. Especially from Facebook.
But many of them, when clicking on the tweet it only says "marked".
Also, I haven't found any way to click on a person or a hash tag in
tweets.
Any idea?
