what would be a good compromise as it works well with the save as
features is if when clicking the link safari would prompt you as to
where you want to save it. Then after the first file it changes the
default to the folder you used in your last save as. probably
wouldn't be too hard to do for them. take care, max

Hi.
Still, it'd be nice if Safari and VO would play nice together so I
wouldn't have to jump through hoops to get my files where they need
to go.
I really don't like comparing Apples and Oranges here but at least
this can be done in FireFox in my windows VM and that's what I've
had to resort to several times just because Safari and VO don't play
nicely at all on certain web sites especially those with very large
web pages. However, now I'm stretching the boundaries of this thread
and will stop here.

Just move the file manually from the downloads folder to the folder
you want. I doubt it would take much more time. Its better than
not having the ability at all, no?

Hi.
This doesn't work when you want to save the linked file in a
different location than you're default download location though.

Like I suggested earlier,
Just press option enter on the link.

When I press VO-shift-m I get the context menu for the page,
not the current link I am focused on.

Hi,
Bringing up the context menu isn't even necessary. Just press
option enter when on the link. But if you do want the context
menu anyway, press VO shift M.

Hello list:
I am trying to do the equivalent of right clicking the mouse
on a link so I can save the pdf files that these links point
to. My problem is I can't seem to get the menu with the save
as option in it. I get a menu for the current page I am
viewing. How does one save a file from a web page? The page in
question is:

Thanks in advance,
Doug
