I use the beta, so I probably have a bit of a differnent experience.  They have 
made a few changes recently that make it more usable, especially if you only 
have one password for a site.  But one password does act differently on the 
systems, so could you please let us know if you are on Snow Leopard or Lion and 
if you use WebKit, Safari, or chrome.  Generally I will use the contextual menu 
 with a bit more ease then the javascript pop-up or that command \ will cause.  
Also, I would recommend that you consider the beta if you don't mind updating a 
few times a month.
