Hi wayne, I'm happy to help. firstly mount your iphone to itunes as normal, you 
then navigate to your iphone and then go to the info tab. it's a good idea to 
check if your contacts from your address book are being synced. if not, check 
the box for "Sync address book contacts" then go to "apply" then sync. if this 
doesn't work then go to your address book, check to see if you have all your 
contacts stored there and then go back to itunes.

if there's a problem. go down to the advanced part of the info tab and check 
addres book. then apply and then sync.

this should solve it
