I am quite impressed with how Braille works on an iOS device. According to a Skype conference I just had, you can not only read what's on the screen in grade 2 Braille; you can even type text in grade 2 Braille and it translates very well. This is on a Focus 40 Blue and an iPhone 4s. I think this might be a good combination since the Focus 40 Blue is the cheapest Braille display that I know of with 40 cells, bluetooth and USB connectivity and a perkins style keyboard.
