I have the growl for saphari plug-in installed, and it's activated from within the applications tab of growl preferences, but so far, it's never notified me when downloads are complete. That was something I was really looking forward to, because it's all but impossible to know when downloads are complete on the mac. So, if anyone has instructions on how to get the growl saphari plugin to actually work, that would be really great! Missy

Hi Ioana! Well I don't know if this will fit the bill! But someone else said that they had a growl item added to growl for Safari [funny enough ] called growl for Safari! And they said that with this growl will tell them when a download is done! And I know that in growl you can set sounds if you do not want to hear it spoken! And I do not know if it still is the case with the latest versions of growl but in mine I can add my own sounds! So if that is still true you can have a sound of your choice!
