Maybe it's one of the settings in your phone sync. You don't have to get
all the songs. When you have your phone connected to iTunes check the
Music tab to be sure the "Entire music library" radio button is checked.
If you choose Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres then you
might not have picked everything.
