By Word is an excellent text editor that I have used on my Mac for a while. I bought it for it's MarkDown support. i noticed that in a recent update they mention the addition of iCloud support for syncing documents between the app and a new IOS app. I haven't tried the IOS yet but I thought this might be of interest to some. I have so many text editors for my iPad/iPhone that I am not sure that I need another one but I will probably buy it anyway just to play around with it.
