Hi Mark,

Thanks very much for these instructions.  As one who has been using Lion Mail 
for a little over a day, it's really helpful to have configured the Mail App 
properly.  Now my inbox list is read with only the author and subject of the 
message.  By default, I was hearing parts of the message and I'd have to shut 
up VO and jump to the message content.  So thanks again.
