Hello Everyone, I am cross posting this to both the V iPhone mailing list and the Mac Visionaries mailing list.
I am finally getting the hang of this new Braille display and I must say that I love it!!!! It is as if an entire new world has been added to the already marvelous one. Thanks to your support, I can now read iBooks conveniently on my iPhone 4 S. I am a little surprised that there is not continuous Braille reading that would eliminate the need to engage the page chooser button such as that which can be engaged via the say all command but ... I'm assuming someone has made this request of Apple by now. It just seems to me logical that one should be able to just keep using the down/next line hardware key on the display to keep reading, allowing the page to change automatically such as it does when one is using the voice. Oh well. As for reading the NIV of the Bible on my iPhone, I am happy to report that, for whatever reason, it now works. I did not have to download a second app. I just spent the last 3 hours reading the various versions of my favorite parts and the joy that fills my heart is almost overwhelming. The thought of being able to attend church or a prayer meeting with nothing but my iPhone and my Braille display giving me the ability to share in the activities on an equal basis is a lifelong dream that has finally come true. To those of you using a Mac, can you recommend a good Bible app that I can purchase? As you may have surmised, the NIV is my preferred version but I will be happy for any info you provide. Perhaps there is an application that will allow one to view different versions of the Bible as there is on the iOS platform. Finally, while I am certain I will have a few more questions along the way, I just wanted to express my gratitude for your patience in getting me up and running with this dazzling new device.
