Ok, I'm going to post this in case I or anyone else looks it up on the list. I went into the settings menu in ZTerm and looked up Modem settings. Sure enough, it was set on Bluetooth. My decrepit Braille Lite knows not a glimmer about Bluetooth, so I reset it to my serial-to-USB adapter driver and everything works without a hitch.
