Okay, you might be right. And in the act of trying, I seem to have made a mess of mail. <grin>

Here's what I have.
When I first open Mail, it says inbox, so many messages, so many unread. VO says messages table is under the cursor. I can open a message with enter and VO-J does take me to the text. If I tab from there, it says message content, row 1 of 1. Tab again and it says mailboxes table, then I'm back at messages. And after doing what I thought was the correct directions to disable the preview pane, from the messages table, VO-left or right arrow just takes me through the fields, date received, status, etc. If I stop interacting with the messages table, VO-right arrow takes me to a horrizontal splitter. Is this the one I use? If I VO-right from this splitter, it says mail activity, then next is another horrizontal splitter. Continuing right, I get new mailbox button, hide mail activity button, mailboxes action button, then back to message content. Now I can't find the table. I've ended up in funny menus sometimes too. If I quit mail, I can then come back in and find my messages table again. Boy, if someone could help me sort out the mess I've made, I'd sure appreciate it. <grin.> Hey, at least I can send messages this week. I have no idea why it started working again, but I'm not asking. <grin.>
Anyway, thanks so much for the help.
