Hello Becky, Yes, VO can announce headers. In VoiceOver Utility, Verbosity, announcements, check the Speak header when navigating across a table row check box.
When navigating along a row, you'll hear the column number, the contents of the cell and then the header name. You can get both cell coordinates by pressing VO-Shift-t.
