Hi Paul. Perky Duck (runs on Windows these days) i/ a braille writer emulator. It's a free program, and a lot of prospective braille transcribers use it. You can use the computer keyboard--the home rows--to input grade 2 braille. It has some severe limitations, but it's useful for people who want to learn braille and don't want to spend big money first.
I was never interested in Duxbury for Windows, but when it comes out for the Mac, I might be. I might need it when I give up on note takers.
