I type about 100-120 WPM, and so have never gotten a Bluetooth keyboard, being of the mind that I type too fast for them. When I tried to use a USB keyboard on this MBP in the past (it's a 2008 model), it didn't work at all.
Now, I'm at a point where I need to use a different keyboard, because this MBP's case is warping and the track pad and keyboard are dying; it needs to be used, for most of the rest of its honorable life, on a solid, cool surface, with a USB or BT keyboard. I'd like to know of good ones, with long cords or ranges, which can handle my typing speed, relatively cheap and without the need for an endless procession of batteries to be thrown out. I'm in search of recommendations for such a keyboard.
