Webvisum can definitely be used on the Mac.  It isn't the smoothest process but 
it is doable.  Earlier in the week there was a blog post stating that the 
nightly builds of Firefox now offer voiceover support.  I downloaded the 
nightly build and I have used webvisum successfully several times.  It isn't 
very easy to do, but it can be done.  I know of a few other people that have 
done this as well.  There is a lot of work to be done in firefox still.  It 
definitely isn't ready to be your main browser of choice, but for solving 
captious it is fine.
