As I had posted previously, after wasting some funds on a cheap 802.11N router that just randomly dropped connections and such I paid the two to three times the price for the Apple box. Like most things Apple, it just works. The dropped connections went away and I have yet to need to power cycle the box after some months of use. Maybe I'm just getting old but I'm starting to value my time and sanity more than dollars 'saved' by going with cheap stuff.

It was $180. Setup was mostly easy, it was fully accessible, and I think our
network is running faster than it did with the DLink, even when the DLink
worked. It also has a USB port, so you can connect a printer to it and then
access it on the network. I haven't set that up yet, so can't say much about
how well that works.

How much did it cost you, and what are the features that stand out the most to
you?

Hi all,

Thanks to all who posted on the router issue. I had a couple of glitches
getting the Extreme up and running, but got it resolved with a call to tech
support. And our network is not only stable once again, but seems noticeably
faster. If anyone's contemplating an airport extreme, I give it a resounding
thumbs up.
Cheers,
Donna
