it should. if you don't have a retail copy handy, you will need to purchase it. 
after it installs and restarts, then go into the apple menu, hit software 
update and select all items listed in the table for upgrade. then VO-space the 
OK button. all should be set. just make sure your home folder is fully backed 
up before trying this.
