Hi Kirsten, First thing that I would do is to restart your Time Capsule. You can do it through the Airport Utility or just unplug the power to it, leave it unplugged for about 40 to 45 seconds then plug it back in. Wait a bout a minute for it to restart and re-establish connectivity and see if it will backup. I've had similar issues and the restart has usually resolved them.
