I thought those apps which were pre-installed just got updates via the regular system update process.

Hi. I was updating some apps in the app store and for iphoto, i movie and garage band I got the message saying i had to buy the apps before they could be updated. Trouble is, these apps were on my system already when i got the computer. I thought maybe they were demo versions so i clicked buy and then got an error from the app store. So I opened gb and got told there was an update. It gave me the option to open software updates and software update said there was no new software.

Does anyone know what's going on here? the apps appear to work fine btw.

very curious..
