I use the program Mars Edit for my blogging.
In a post I can select a word, right click it, click the Format option
and add a URL.
I did a few links to YouTube videos the worked just fine but when I
tried to link strait to my channel at www.youtube.com/eyelessguy1987 it didn't
work.
Same thing with trying to link to www.twitter.com/howtobeblind.
It always puts ww.howtobeblind.com before the YouTube or Twitter URLs.
