I never got that stupid remote app to work. I tried and tried as I may, but got nowhere. I for one have been an Apple TV user for at least a year and a half now, and have migrated even from the 2nd gen to the 3rd gen, and never have seen the choppy voiceover you describe.

Can you give an example of something you were trying to do that made it really bad? You say NetFlix, but be more specific. Were you trying to browse movies? Were you on the keyboard searching for something, etc etc.

Chris.

Subject: choppy VO on apple tv

I wasn't sure which list to send this to, since it concerns an A tv, not a Mac or a Phone. I'm just wondering if there has ever been found a solution to the problem of VO being very choppy when used on the apple tv. I've tried this with the remote that comes with the a tv first gen and also with the remote app that works on my iPhone. And the choppy speech is really a problem. I recall some people having the problem earlier. It seemed to get a little better for me, but I haven't been using the A tv much lately except in its role as a substitute for an airport express playing music through the speakers attached to the system where the a tv is. But this morning I decided I wanted to watch something on netflix, and I found the speech was so choppy that it really made navigation difficult. Any hints on how to solve this would be really appreciated. It seemed worse when using the remote app, but since I have issues getting the little remote to do what I want, I'm apparently not pointing it precisely correctly, I was really hoping to make the remote app work so as to ditch that finicky remote. All help is appreciated.

Mary
