OK, let me clear this up for ya.
That 3 finger push on the play pause key only? works initially when you
first are setting up the TV. Otherwise yes, He'll have to turn it on by
hand. I so! wish Apple would fix this, but ming while hears what to do.
Press the menu key and hold it down for about 3 seconds. This'll insure
he's ac actually on the main screen.
Now scroll up as far as you can. It won't rap, don't worry, so your best
bet is just push the up arrow and hold it for about 3 seconds.
Now scroll all the way to the right.
The fourth tab over is settings. It should be the last tab on this row of
buttons.
Press select on this button.
Now you want to scroll down 10 times. That should land you on
accessibility.
Press select to go into accessibility.
Now you automatically should land on Voiceover, so just hit select again
without moving in any direction.
That should toggle it on/off.
Hope that helps.
Chris.

Subject: Enableing VOiceover on Apple tv
Hi.
I got a question from someone who have an Apple tv, who's asking how to
activate Voiceover? As far as I understand, you should be able to turn
VOiceover on by pressing the menu button 3 times. He says this doesn't work.
Does he really need to go into the settings to enable and desable voiceover
all the time? Or, what is he doing wrong?
Best regards:
Søren Jensen
