Hi Esther and others, Jonathan Mosen's excellent podcast on iTunes Match very helpful and it was after listening to it that I subscribed. I solved my first problem of not being able to see the status of my music on my mac by double checking the view menu and finding I had not checked all the iCloud options Jonathan recommended. this was operator error on my part as I thought I had checked them.
My current question is how to get the old mp3 files replaced. I'm confident once I read the links in Esther's post I'll find answers. Thanks to Jonathan, and Esther, and others for helping me work out the kinks in iTunes Match. I'm all ready noticing improvement in my listening experience. Keep the tips coming! Off to work now and I'll check back in this evening.
