HelloAlison. Even better than that as I did this and now I have Skype on my chordless phone and do not miss a call.
If you visit Skype.com and look for making calls from your home phone, then you will see an adaptor which is a small box which you plug in from your network into your home phone. It's easy to configure yourself. I use it all the time now. Even the software is easy to use from your mac. If you visit connectme.local then all the informationis on there. You can even add contacts as speed dials and just use your home phone to connect to your friends. I do this all the time. Hope this is useful. By the way, you can also use your home phone in the normal way by pressing hash then the number. If you want to dial using your skype, you press star star 3 or star star 2 for any other contact but you have to set it up using www.connectme.local Hope is of some use to you as I love it and I do not have to use my Mac or I phone but can use all those clients in conjunction with my skype adaptor.
