Dear listers,

I have an airport express, and I love it. One thing I would like to do though,
is have profiles. The express manual says that it can be done. To create a
profile, I should first select my airport express in the list, on the main
screen of the airport utility on the mac. I do this by interacting with the
airport express group inside airport utility, finding my airport express and
hitting vo space on it. Then, I should find an option to create or manage
profiles, inside the base stations pull down menu heading. But when I open the
base station menu, using vo m for the menu bar, going right to the base station
menu and then examining it downlwards, I don't find these options. Just show
passwords, which is dimmed, and restore to factory defaults. What am I doing
wrong here? I would like to create profiles inside my airport express, because
at home I use it to airplay music, having the airport express join an already
existing wifi network, while at work, I need the airport express to act as an
access point. All I do there, is leave its music line out jack alone, plug the
airport express into the wall, insert the rj 45 network cable into it, and then
have it create a secure network for myself and my laptop. So at home it joins
another network, and at work it creates one, which are totally different
settings.

I'm sort of tired of reprogramming the airport express every night, now that
I've used it so nicely and found out how well it serves. But this is getting
frustrating. Resetting it to factory defaults, and at home, reinstating my home
setup, and before going to bed for the day after, reprogramming it back to the
work setup. How do you guys deal with profiles? I cannot find how to create a
profile inside the airport express, nor how to switch from one to the other.

Hope to hear from you if you know how to setup and use airport express profiles.
Paul.
