Hi, the keystrokes that jump you to different inboxes and folders are dependent on where they are in the favorites bar in Mail. For example, if in favorites you have Gmail inbox, iCloud inbox, then trash, command 1 would take you to the gmail inbox, command 2, iCloud, command 3, trash.
