Well, one thing I've noticed is that when I ready by conversation and I get to the last message in the thread, text from another message in the thread is read. I use VO-J to jump between the message list and text, and I delete each message when done reading. So when I get to the last message, it's the only one left in the conversation, but the wrong text is read. It's so annoying that for now, I've disabled reading by conversation.
