Hi. How does Airplay work in Mountain Lion with an Apple tv? I have a Mac mini connected to my surround receiver in my living room. It would be awesome if I could just use an apple tv instead and use my Mini for other things. Then I don't have to boot it up just to listen to some music. I don't use iTunes, because I don't want a program to re-organize my music, which I manually have put into folders for more than 10 years. So therefore I use VLC. I can't find anything about Airplay in Mountain Lion, but I don't have an Apple Tv, so that might be the reason. Does Air play work with VLC or any other programs than iTunes? How do I inable it and how does it work in general? I have looked at Apples website, but I can't find that information. It just says that I can inable airplay everywhere, but how?
