Don't look at me, I didn't make the folder. :) All I know is I have 
~/applications and /applications, and they look remarkably similar. I come from 
windows, and am not too familiar with how multi-user systems work even there. 
So, are you saying I shouldn't have ~/applications at all? If I made another 
user account on this mac, would they have access to all my apps (just not my 
files) and vice versa?
