Eyepal is a camera on a monopod. It stands about 10 in tall. There are two arms at the bottom. One is 8.5 IN. The other is 11 in. These are the measurements of standard A4 paper. Set up on a desk it looks not half bad. Folded up it looks like something some amateur knocked together out of old pipe.
It plugs in USB to the computer.. It's accurate and fast. Unfortunately the software is windows based running in x-windows. As such, it leaves quite a lot to be desired at this point. Still, for speed, accuracy, and convenience, no other mac solution comes close right now. Then again, the nearest competitor is only about a quarter the price of the eyepal. Well, maybe half if you buy the hovercam and docuscan. Still, half price or better is enough, especially for advanced users who don't mind tweaking, to ignore or workaround the shortcomings of the less expensive products.
