I've strongly suggested to apple accessibility a number of times that they open 
up the speech api to the system so that voices can be used across applications, 
but that's not apple's way.  That's why I'm an android user even though the 
accessibility is a bit behind compared to the IPhone.  I just feel more 
comfortable being able to choose my speech, my input device, my non-proprietary 
peripherals.
