Hi all, I feel pretty stupid, but I figured out my textEdit problem, where vo-a always started from the top of the file. It turns out textEdit opens the file and vo reads it, but vo does not automatically interact with the edit text area like I thought it would. I interacted and all is working normally. Sorry about that, but it is a good lesson for me. *sheepishly presses the send button*
