Back on Snow Leopard, Voiceover came on when I booted up my computer for the first time -- there was no need to even start it. Perhaps it is different with Mountain Lion. it even had a tutorial to walk you through the basics of using voiceOver, which I found very useful. It was around a month before I felt truly at ease moving around, and I still find myself learning things. That, however, was the same with Windows. computers, you know. :D
