Try vo space to double tap. Or, with quick navigation on, toggled by the left and right arrow being pressed together, you can press up/down arrow together. The vo keys are the control and option keys, which are the 2nd and 3rd keys on the bottom left row. The keys in order from left to right are as follows, using an apple wireless keyboard: function, control, option, command, space, another command key, and the option key. Then the normal arrows.
