Another reason why ESpeak doesn't need to be ported on the Mac is that most 
people on here, not everyone, can't stand robotic voices. I for one hate both 
Eloquence and ESpeak because they're too robotic. DECTalk I can handle, but I 
would rather have a human sounding voice like Samantha from Nuance or Tracy 
from Acapela read stuff to me. Lagging isn't an issue for me, as long as the 
voice sounds good, that's all that matters. Robots don't belong on the Mac.
