Bill, Are you using Karen premium on the mac? Karen compact on the mac is terrible, but I use premium on my mac and I like her. Funnily enough, I prefer Karen compact on the iPhone. I guess I'm used to her in compact mode on the iPhone. I don't know if that answers your question. Did you update the Karen voice after installing ML? It gets rid of the annoying pitch changes and corrects some pronunciation errors. just go to the App store and it will come up as one of the updates.
